Generally we specify workability of concrete in terms of its slump test value. But sometimes it is also specified by another test called compaction factor. The relation between slump and compaction factor is roughly as follows.
Relation Between Slump & Compaction factor
Workability | Slump in mm | Compaction factor |
Very stiff | – | 0.70 |
Stiff | 0 to 25 | 0.75 |
Stiff plastic | 25 to 50 | 0.85 |
Plastic | 75 to 100 | 0.90 |
Flowing | 150 to 175 | 0.95 |
What if I obtained different results from both two tests with using a same concrete sample?
I want to know the quality of concrete
How much slumptest value for good concrete then compaction factor also.
regards.

i want to what kind of properties of workability.. or we can say that where to use slump cone and where to use compaction factor..!!
